A superb property, both spacious and cosy with glorious views all around. Our day started with a cuppa in the conservatory soaking up the views and ended by the fire in the evening. Close to Keswick. A really great find, thank you.

Extremely spacious ‘upside-down’ apartment in what was formerly a country house hotel, now divided into 5 self-contained properties. Shared use of extensive grounds with fabulous views over Derwentwater to Borrowdale, Newlands Valley and Whinlatter. Comfortable, well equipped, clean and well maintained.

Instantly loved the place, comfortable accommodation with an element of luxury. Plenty of space, especially in the main bedroom and en-suite. Great views south over the hills/mountains and even better when the sun broke through! Will keep this accommodation in mind when booking again in...More

We loved this apartment! The view is just stunning and we could have spent the whole day enjoying it. The apartment was clean and nothing was missing. We loved the evenings in the living room with it’s spacious fireplace. We highly recommend the Conservatory.

About the neighbourhood
Keswick, about 3km away from The Conservatory, is a delightful small town with many shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. It has a large pedestrianised shopping area which hosts a regular market. The Tourist Information Centre in the market square is very helpful but also try the information on the Keswick Tourist Association website. There is plenty of parking in Keswick but you can also take a bus from The Conservatory from a bus stop on the main road a short walk away. Also, buses go from the centre of Keswick to various other locations around the Lake District.
Getting around
A five minute drive will take you to the heart of the bustling town of Keswick. Short drives will take you to some of the most picturesque places in England – to walk, ramble, climb, enjoy watersports, or just to ‘be’ and take in breathtaking scenery. And you do not need a car as a five minute bus ride from a nearby bus stop will also bring you into Keswick from where you can take various buses to destinations around the Lake District, or to Penrith or Carlisle – both with train stations.
