Interaction with guests
The owners Nik & Nicki Marsh live in the Farm House right across from the cottage and are on hand for any initial teething issues or questions you may have. 'Once you are settled in we are happy to have as much interaction as you would like. Washbrook is a lovely, peaceful place to be and once they get their bearings, we tend not to see much of our guests as they are out and about, exploring the Cotswolds'

About the neighbourhood
Washbrook is approached down a county lane and is off the beaten path, whilst also being just a short walk into Painswick - 'The Queen of the Cotswolds', which has a number of wonderful pubs, restaurants and cafes. The Cotswolds, a very special, very wonderful place. Explore quintessentially English villages of honey-coloured stone; take in splendid, lively market towns; visit some of the country’s greatest palaces, castles and country houses; marvel at the natural world in acclaimed reserves and at some of the most famous arboretas in Britain; walk through breath-taking landscapes along historic trails; or make a splash in our own lake-land area with its own inland beach.
Getting around
A car is definitely recommended to make the most of the whole area but we have had guests that arrive by train just to walk the labyrinth of public footpaths and explore the hills and woodlands of the area. If that is your plan make sure to bring some stout walking boots! Nik & Nicki are keen cyclists and can provide you with plenty of details on routes to take, if you plan on bringing your bikes.
