Wool Cottage is located in the Cotswold market town of Fairford. It has just been beautifully restored to a high standard and is now a charming self catering retreat. The downstairs area is spacious and light and most importantly - comfortable and welcoming. Upstairs has two bedrooms both with ensuite and an extra small single in one of the rooms. The terrace outside the french windows has sunshine throughout the day and the view from the front of the cottage overlooks the beautiful and ever changing water meadows alongside the River Coln. Fairford market place is a 100 yard walk and offers plenty of amenities, in fact you need never get in your car for the whole of your stay. About the neighbourhood
The area of the Cotswolds around Fairford will not disappoint with the roman town of Cirencester only 10 miles away and the spa town of Cheltenham half an hour away. Cirencester boasts an excellent array of shops for both food and browsing, an open air swimming pool, a roman museum and beautiful architecture abounds. Lechlade upon Thames, our neighbouring town offers shops akin to treasure troves and boating on the river, and once you have crossed the border into Oxfordshire a day out in Oxford is a must.
If outdoor pursuits are more your thing then we are surrounded by the Cotswold Water Park offering 150 lakes to discover. Activities range from angling, snorkelling, wakeboarding, water skiing, cycling or plain old swimming from the inland beach! The water parks are also bursting with...
