Bourton-on-the-Water, Cotswolds, England
Bow House Cottage is a high quality self catering home, full of character and luxury that is just perfect for Cotswolds' retreat. Located down a quiet little lane in the heart of Bourton on the Water, it is peaceful and 'off the beaten track' and very much the classic Cotswolds' home. The property, which is attached to the owners' stunning period home, is newly refurbished and presented in a very attactive style with well proportioned rooms. The accommodation is all on one level and furnished beautifully with great attention given to comfort and homeliness. The cottage is within seconds of Bourton's main attractions, the famous bridges and river plus the wide choice of cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants. A thoroughly enchanting holiday cottage suitable for a short break or long getaway and ideal for recharging the... Read more

About the neighbourhood
Bourton on the Water is probably the most popular (and famous) village in the Cotswolds, and often referred to as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' because the River Windrush runs right through the centre and has a number of bridges criss crossing it. The combination of this clear sparkling water and the attractive low bridges create a charming scene, best enjoyed in the quieter times of day and quieter months of the year when you'll probably have the place to yourself. Surrounding the village is an unspoilt countryside with a host of great walks to choose from.

Within Bourton there are a variety of amenities, including a basic supermarket along with various pubs, shops and some sweet attractions to help pass the time. Along with the river and bridges, there is an abundance of...
