Within a couple of minutes walk you will find a Sainsburys and a Waitrose, and Preston Street with its wall to wall restaurants of just about every ethnicity is a similar distance. We stayed at this cottage for a hen weekend. It was an absolutely perfect location for the shops, restaurants and bars. We didn't have to get a taxi or public transport to anywhere. It was a spacious house and accommodated 9 of us comfortably.

Regency architecture, pleasure pier, specialist shops, pavement cafés, lively arts scene and vibrant night-life, everything is in walking distance, so take time to explore and enjoy. And with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs and traditional English countryside, Brighton and Hove is a great base for exploring the region. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish nightlife and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel.
