Situated 3 kms from the centre of Dartmouth in rural South Devon, Chalet 310 is a great Bolthole offering low cost but high standard holiday accommodation at Norton Park, featuring privately owned chalets on a beautifully maintained 19 acre site. The chalet has one of the Park's best locations, with views from the front towards the South Hams (hills) across farmland and a lovely rear view aspect over the site's large green open space. It is located well away from the road. Recently refurbished, the chalet is now fully equipped with a brand new kitchen including cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer and there are plenty of cooking utensils. The lounge/dining room has a large comfortable sofa, coffee table and the latest smart TV & DVD with sound system.There is also a dining table with 4 chairs.The two bedrooms have new quality beds, the twin room has Tempur mattresses. The double room has a 4ft 6' bed with a traditional mattress. Natural cotton bedding with 4 seasons hypo allergenic duvets are provided as well as one bath and one hand towel per guest. Beach towels are not available . The inner lobby is a handy place to hang coats and gives access to the shower room, which has an electric shower, a programmable heated towel rail and a small wash basin.There is a separate toilet. Outside the chalet is the perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down after a day out. During the season,the X64 bus service into Dartmouth runs hourly throughout the day and there is a good park and ride option 1km away where Sainsburys and Lidl Supermarkets are located along with the indoor pool and leisure complex. Electricity is supplied via a coin meter which takes £1 coins and is located under the cupboard next to the big kitchen drawer unit. There is a full information pack at the chalet.More

Hopefully you shouldn't need any assistance during your stay but if you do and for emergencies only, please speak to Phil our Site Manager, he is based at the bungalow which is situated on the left hand half way up the drive. Also, George is the handyman who also lives on site and will be able to help with any minor issues at the chalet.

Thank you for your lovely review. I will look at getting an led reading lamp for the chalet. Glad you found the bed comfy, in my opinion one of the most important aspects when staying away from home is getting a good night's rest.

I was very impressed by this very modern, light and bright, adorable cottage. It has everything you need with a lovely view overlooking the valley and fields. A few minutes drive from Dartmouth, but very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely stay again. Very good...More

About the neighbourhood
The South Hams area has plenty to offer the visitor, the beautiful historic naval town of Dartmouth is only 3kms away from the chalet park. Totnes an Elizabethan town with a Norman Castle is certainly worth a visit - market days are Friday and Saturday. On the other side of the Dart River is the National Trust's property Greenway House -formally Agatha Christie's country residence. Not far from Greenway is Coleton Fishacre another NT house owned by the D'oyly Carte family. From the chalet it is approx a 15 minute drive to one of the most beautiful privately owned beach at Blackpool Sands with it's award winning Venus cafe. Car parking charges apply.
Getting around
You will certainly need a car for travelling around, though it is possible from May to September to get into Dartmouth on the X64 bus which operates hourly throughout the day - there is a timetable at the chalet. Curent single fair is £1 50. If you do wish to use your vehicle then The Park & Ride facility is located 1 km from the chalet park towards Dartmouth, it is highly recommended, as finding a parking space in the town centre at the height of the season is almost impossible. Taxis charge daytime rate is approx £7 for a single fair back to the chalet Park.
