Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Lovely cottage perfect for our extended family to stay in .Only yards from harbour and Polperro beach .The cottage has everything that you need to make your stay easy. We love to stay in Polperro it is such an amazing little village. The cottage is in the perfect spot.We would recommend this cottage if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Polperro. We came by car however there is a bus service opposite the cottage which takes you into Looe or you can always take the boat from the harbour

Cosy and welcoming
A lovely cottage, spotlessly clean. The cottage was cosy and warm which was welcome as we experienced some very wet weather during our stay. On the days that we could not go out it was a lovely place to spend the day with a cup of tea and a book. It was so convenient to have parking right outside the door as parking is at such a premium in Polperro, I'm disabled and appreciated not having the walk to the carpark. My sister and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed their stay also, we were able to visit with my dad and also visit the places my sister and I spent our childhood.

Half term break
I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Crumplehorn Cottage 3 and what a little gem. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very cosy. It had everything we needed for our break and came with a parking space for 1 small car. We had a fabulous time exploring, visiting Polperro village, Talland Bay, Looe, Polruan and Fowey. We ate out at Michelle’s, The Three Pilchards and the The Ship in Leryn with family. Thank you so much Victoria, I will be back, hopefully with my family next time!

Like coming home
The cottage is in a good location with a car parking space. This is a blessing as the car park is quite expensive. An excellent bus service is opposite. The beds are very comfortable and a useful wash basin in each room. The very well equipped kitchen is small and best one person cooks at a time. A most comfortable lounge must be very cosy in the winter. The outside seating area is great for people watching ! The stairs are steep - it is a cottage, but I'm 81 and managed. The cottage was immaculate and all covid restrictions in place.

Quaint and cosy cottage
Perfect little cottage in the beautiful village of Polperro. The cottage had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were really comfortable to be able to get a good nights sleep. The owner is very good with her communication and responding to emails. Can not wait to return next year.

Fantastic pet friendly getaway
After a couple of years staying at No. 3 Crumplehorn cottage., we could not find better accommodation to stay for a relaxing holiday . The cottage was spotlessly clean ,very comfortable and homely. We enjoyed relaxing with a drink in the front garden after a lovely walk in the evening's. Conveniently situated opposite is the local bus stop, also a lovely pub/ resteraunt which is highly recommended. This lovely cottage ticks all the boxes for pet owners, as our little jack russell, Owen (sadly no longer with us)would have agreed. The cottage has its own private parking space, which is a godsend. Of all the places we have stayed in Polppero these cottages are the best.

Great pet friendly cottage
When we arrived the cottage was spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything we needed. It has a parking space right outside which is brilliant as there is no parking in Polperro apart from one expensive public car park.Polperro harbour is an easy 15 minute walk through the village which has plenty of quaint shops and places to eat and drink. I would recommend booking for dinner. Our dog was made to feel welcome wherever we went. The cottage was a great base to get out and about and discover Cornwall. We look forward to returning one day

About the neighbourhood
Looe is just 4 5 miles from Polperro - There are many activities on offer at Looe.Looe is a picturesque fishing town, situated in South East Cornwall. Looe was first chartered as a town in 1270 and seafaring has been a way of life here for centuries with many tales of piracy and smuggling to add to its fascinating history. With two rivers and a tidal harbour, water separates East Looe from West Looe and a quaint passenger ferry boat is available all year round to cross the harbour. You can wander down our old streets to the bustling waterfront and watch one of Cornwall's biggest fishing fleets unload their daily catch at the quay. The bustling harbour is home to over 60 commercial fishing vessels. With over twenty-five superb restaurants and pubs in the town you will be spoilt for choiceWhy not laze the day away on the safe and sandy beach at East Looe, then take a walk down the famous Banjo Pier. Or explore the rock pools and collect shells on Hannafore beach at West Looe. Those feeling more energetic can take in the south west coastal path which has some of the finest scenery in the country! The Old Guildhall Museum houses artefacts and memorabilia charting the history of this ancient port. The prosperity of Looe in the mid 1800s was inexorably linked to the mining industry high on the edge of Bodmin Moor at Caradon Hill. Initially linked by the Liskeard Looe Union Canal and subsequently the Looe Valley Railway, copper ore and stone were brought to Looe and exported by ship to all parts of the world. There are many interesting valley and moorland walks to enable you to explore this rich mining heritage.
