The Castle Gardens is a courtyard of 4 semi detached houses in the peaceful idyllic village of Castletownshend in West Cork. Close by is The Castle, which takes guests for b&b and also serves morning coffees, lunches, afternoon teas and drinks in it's cafe or sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the sea. There are also lovely seaside/woodland walks in the grounds. There are 2 pubs in the village - Mary Ann's which is also a restaurant, and Lil's which boasts a pool table and darts board. There are 2 whale watching/sports fishing boats which go out from the harbour. Kayaks and kayak lessons can be hired nearby. The harbour is ideal for sailing but you need to have your own boat. There is a sailing school in Glandore (10 kms) and Baltimore (25 kms).
