Thornhill House has been extensively and carefully renovated with character, convenience and comfort in mind! One of the very few houses in the area that has all 5 ensuite bedrooms. This stunning renovation of a Historic 18C Coaching Inn, has a large comfortable characterful lounge with exposed stone walls and an open fireplace and a 50' TV. The huge modern dining kitchen can comfortably seat up to 12. The master Superking suite has a seating area with a 50' TV with a comfortable sofa bed (small additional charge) and a good sized ensuite bathroom. The second King size bedroom on the first floor has a well appointed ensuite. There's also an ensuite bunk room (lower small double, upper single) On the top floor there are two luxurious bedrooms, one Superking and the other is 2 x ... There is an additional luxury shower room on the half landing and a ground floor wc & utility room. Outside there is a garden with large decking area with picnic tables, barbecue (available on request for a small charge) and garden lounge furniture. There is free private parking at the house Thornhill is a conservation village with a superb central location close to Stirling (only approx. 15 mins drive) - ideal for touring, exploring Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, visiting Stirling Castle, Blairdrummond Safari Park, Go Ape, cruising on Lake Katrine or one of many local attractions. The house has convenience store directly across the road and 'The Lion & Unicorn' is a very well known restaurant/bar that serves great food which is only 2 mins walk from the house. Locally, 'The Woodhouse' and 'The Smiddy' are excellent coffee and farm shops. More

Thornhill House is a gem. It is tastefully furnished, well appointed and very homely. There are comfortable beds, an open fire, a large kitchen and would be an ideal rental for families or friends. There is ample off street parking in the middle of the small town with a shop situated directly opposite. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to contact. We would visit again.

Perfect location for a staycation! Close to Blair Drummond, Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, Go Ape and Trossach’s National Park. The house itself if full of character, we were a family of 10 and there are plenty of rooms with either double beds, twin and bunk beds all with en-suites. Kitchen table that seats up to 12 and lovely decked area with a BBQ. Shop over the road and a Pub within walking distance with a nice beer garden. Lovely park in the opposite direction which the kids and adults loved as we took frisbees and balls. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot fault this charming house. Full of character and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated with good quality furnishings and very very comfortable beds. Great space for large groups to get together. The sitting room is very comfortable and unfortunately we didn't get to light the fire which would have added to the charm of this beautiful room Fantastic base to tour surrounding areas. Lovely village with great pub serving good food within walking distance. Surrounding area beautiful for walking. Only criticism is decking area in back garden can be slippy and a hot tub would be a great addition.
