We stayed there for a girls get together, it was a lovely place and the hot tub was such a nice luxury, the place was very clean and was supplied with towels and most general basic cupboard stuff! Would definitely stay there again Thank you

The cottage itself is lovely and full of character. Inside it was well kitted out with good basic kitchen supplies including a fresh bottle of milk in the fridge. The Aga is a bit tricky to work out but we mostly ate out so didnt...More

About the neighbourhood
Hook Norton has a brewery which has a visitors centre and tours. The Village shop sells everything you could need while staying in the cottage! There are two pubs in the village. The Gate Hangs High is the nearest pub to Turpins Lodge Cottage, 1 1/4 miles, and serves good food and bar meals 7 days a week. The Horse and Groom in Milcombe about 2miles, has a nice restaurant and bar, good food, good service and a friendly welcome. Dogs welcome.

Chipping Norton (about 5 miles) has a small theatre, restaurants including Thai, Indian and Chinese, banks, shops etc as well as indoor and outdoor (in the Summer) swimming pools.

Banbury 5 miles away is a large market town with cinema, sports centre, shopping centre, and several big supermarkets at least one is open 24 hours a day. There is a...

We are not on a bus route so a car is essential. There are trains into London and Birmingham from Banbury is you want to go further afield.

Banbury is 5 miles away with frequent trains to London and Birmingham. There are always taxis at the station.
