Local walks in the Pennines, along the river Eden and in local woods, maps provided at the property. 2 minute walk to recreation fields with children's play equipment, free tennis courts and cricket pitch. Tennis rackets, rounders bat, cricket bat, croquet set and balls provided at the property. Fairy doors, woodland walks and herb garden 5 mins drive/30 mins walk. Bank House equestrian center with hourly, half day and day trekking 20 minute drive. 10 minute drive to outdoor swimming pool at Hunsonby or Lazonby 30 minutes. Fly Fishing for trout at Blencarn lake, 5 minutes drive. . Canoeing, sailing and paddle boarding - all available on Ullswater, 30 minute drive. Go Ape at Whinlatter, 30 minute drive. 5 minutes from Whinfell Centre Parks. Nearest station is Langwathby (3 miles). Climbing walls at Penrith, Kendal and Keswick and a bouldering wall in Carlisle. Independent 3 screen cinema in Penrith, and giant screen at the Rheged centre.
