A warm, friendly atmosphere greets guests to The Old Forge Bed and Breakfast, Knockin (Four Star Grading by Shropshire Tourism), which offers two twin bedrooms, and a double/family bedroom (all en-suite). We pride ourselves on our full English breakfast using local produce. Guests can choose their own breakfasts from our menu the night before. Each room is centrally heated and double glazed with flat-screen TV incorporating built-in Freeview and DVD. Also in each room there is tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits, hairdryer, radio alarm clock, complimentary 25cl red and white wine on arrival. Towels are provided. Wi-Fi available. There are numerous pubs within a three-mile radius which offers evening meals. There is a Chinese Restaurant/Takeaway and Indian Restaurant/Takeaway about three miles away. The nearest towns to Knockin are Oswestry (5 miles), Shrewsbury (15 miles) and Chester (30 miles). Very comfortable place to stay and welcoming owners. Excellent breakfast with a very comprehensive choice of items. Right next door to an excellent pub with very good restaurant.

Highly recommended stay at this lovely B&B, comfortable beds, rooms spotless and clean bathroom adjoining. Complimentary wine with tea and coffee making facilities. We spent a very pleasant night at the old forge. The room was clean and had everything you would expect, breakfast was enjoyable. The hosts were attentive but not intrusive .

A lovely warm welcome by both Colin and Wendy despite not arriving until 8pm. The room was lovely and clean with some nice touches such as bottled water biscuits etc. Breakfast was nothing other than excellent and again a healthy list of choices was offered....More

The Old Forge Holiday Barn and B & B has the convenience of a quiet local pub next door, the Bradford Arms which serves good quality food and traditional cask ales from midday.
