This restored 19th Century cottage enjoys a wonderful location on the coast road overlooking Galway Bay and the Aran Islands and beside a beautiful sandy beach. It has a beautiful stone walled garden and ample parking. The half door entrance leads to a hallway from which there is access to the dining room, sitting room, kitchen, 2 downstairs bedrooms and main bathroom. Upstairs there are 3 further bedrooms and an additional WC. This cottage has a large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer/dryer, large fridge/freezer, electric cooker, etc. There is a large dining room table and chairs overlooking the patio area and the Atlantic ocean. Additionally there is oil fired central heating throughout the cottage. The sitting room is large with comfortable seating. It also has a hand cut fireplace with open fire. There is a TV with DVD. There is also an information pack with everything the visitor needs to know about places to see, things to do, eating out etc. With windows on three sides you can enjoy beautiful mountain and sea views while relaxing in the sitting room. Fanore is a very quite coastal village with a beautiful sandy beach making it the ideal family holiday location. The beach, which has a blue flag and life guard on duty all summer, is only 5 minutes walk from the cottages. There are a variety of water sports locally, including surfing (lessons also available for all levels), jet skiing, diving at Black Head (1km), fishing / Sea angling at Black Head and Ballyreen (both 1km), with competitions each August. Horse riding along the spectacular coastline is very popular and all levels are catered for.
