Caldbeck is one of the most beautiful and peaceful of all the Lakeland villages and is ideally situated for exploring the Lake District, the Scottish Borders, the Eden Valley and the North Pennines. The surrounding area has so much to offer everyone, steeped in history, dating back to the 13th century, it has seen many changes over the centuries. Industries have come and gone. Many of the village buildings were built in the 17th Century and are now housing New Shops and Local Services catering for visitors and locals alike. The area is one of the more remote and lesser known parts of the Lake District, but boasts some outstanding scenery and some of the best, less frequented walking in the whole of the Lake District. Superb walking and cycling exists within easy reach of all the villages in the Northern Fells, catering for all levels. You can travel for miles and not see a soul - enjoy the peace & quiet and listen to the birds singing. This really is a great place to spend some time. The Cumbria way, C2C (Coast to Coast) and the Reivers Route also pass through the village. Additional Charges will be applied for pets: £20 for max of 1 pet per booking collected during check-inMore

Last stayed in Beckside Cottage in 2014 and booked it again when we need accommodation in order to attend a family wedding in Calbeck. The cottage was exactly as I remembered, spotless and perfectly sized for 3 people, cosy and comfortable with everything you need.

Comfortable, well kept cottage in a beautiful area. Everything was covered by Nicky as it was clean and bright on a summer weekend, with a nice garden area to enjoy. Ideal for children and families and would love to visit again
