Our Dorset period cottage is in Thomas Hardy country, near the Jurassic Coast and Dorchester; ideal for holiday rental with 4 bedrooms sleeping 6 plus a sofa bed for an extra 2 guests at £20 per person per night. Well behaved pets are also welcome; we charge an extra clean fee of £10 per night per pet. The beautiful coastline at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, Weymouth and the National Sailing Academy (site of the sailing events for the 2012 Olympics) are all nearby. There is a six seater hot tub in the garden that can be enjoyed for the week at an additional £70 to cover the maintenance costs, or for £50 if you are staying for 4 nights. The separate living room is spacious and has double doors which can be opened or closed leading to the kitchen diner. From the kitchen you can go out into the secure lawned garden where we have a hot tub. There is a wonderful local pub in the village that many of our guests who have dined there have raved about and many more within easy reach; the next village, a mile away has a general shop and post office, a petrol station and garage and even a tennis court to rent. Most guests arrange a supermarket delivery but there are plenty of supermarkets within easy driving distance. The nearest beach with a cafe is 5 miles away, and Dorchester (4 miles away) is the county town with supermarkets, shopping, cinemas and a number of restaurants. Weymouth (7 miles away) is a large tourist resort with beaches and water sports available There is a Wood burning stove. Large garden. Changeover day Saturday. Flat wall-mounted TV with Freeview. Spacious cottage in a quiet village with a great pub.Good for dog walking across fields and woods.Close to the main road to Dorchester which makes most parts of Dorset easy to reach.

Really lovely cottage, very well equipped. Owners very friendly and helpful. The garden would be perfect for families, very surprising how far it extends. Only downsides were the neighbours, on one side there are some extremely yappy dogs and a bit further along one hilariously...More

Nice and spacious. Home from home facilities including washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Only minor problem a lack of parking but you can park round the corner outside the church but do not be put off by this.More
