Our expectations were high when we arrived in Milos and we were not disappointed. This small former monastery was thoughtfully converted by its owners by preserving many of the original features. The view from the terrace is spectacular at any moment of the day - especially at sunset. The alley that the three main rooms open to, lined with bougainvilliers and aromatic plants, enhances the sense of space. Some of the nearby streets in Plaka are bustling in the evening but you don't notice it once you reach the sidestreet to the monastery's gate. The person recommended by the owner for cleaning the house is also a fantastic cook.
