About the neighbourhood
Peaceful, and yet not too remote. We have two pubs within walking distance and Milldale (Dovedale) is just a twenty minute walk down the lane.
If you want to walk and come home to relax by the fire or in the garden in summer then The Hay Barn is for you !
Getting around
We recommend a car for getting here, and especially if you want to see more of The Peak District, however if you simply want to relax, then stock up with food and you needn't drive again all week !!

How to get there
Railway: Derby: 32.0 km
We are in the small Hamlet of Hope which is located within walking distance from Alstonefield.
The village can be reached from the A515 which runs between Ashbourne in the south and Buxton in the north.
If using a satnav enter Hope Green Farm, Furlong Lane, Alstonefield into the address section because if you just enter the post code it will take you to the wrong farm.
As you enter the gate, the barn is the long building on your left. Drive over the tarmac, up over the white stones and around to the far end of the barn where you can park by the steps which lead up to the front door of the barn.
Activities nearby
Fishing Nearby, There Is A Golf Course Within 30 Mins Drive, Horse Riding Nearby.
