Barley Cottage , spacious and well appointed cottage in quiet location

One of our 3 spacious holiday cottages, contained within an old converted granary, set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Well equipped, with underfloor heating , wifi and a garden to the front and courtyard to the rear. The well presented kitchen boasts a fridge , separate freezer , washer/dryer and a dishwasher. All bed linen is provided as are towels too. A secure lock up for bicycles is available.The property is situated next to Vanguard Way , with picturesque walks and some fabulous pubs including the Six Bells . Many National Trust Properties are close by including Batemans , Sheffield Park and Sissinghurst. The famous All England Showground Hickstead is about 30 minutes away. Glynde and the county town of Lewes are a short drive away, taking in some of the most breath-taking views in East Sussex .

About the neighbourhood
Very rural , with a lot of cyclists and riders about. We have a super pub in the village called the Six Bells , with good food and live music at the weekends.
If you need to go shopping then Lewes is close by , 20 min drive ,Brighton and London is 1 hour by train from Lewes , so worth a trip for the day.

You will need your transport here, as there are no buses passing or trains outside.

Located off the A22 take the Easr Hoathly round about, just after Halland, and head into the village. Turn left at Clara s book shop, pass the Kings Head on the right . Carry on until just after the right bend , then turn right, to Graywood/Chiddingly. At the T junction turn LEFT. Take the next right turn, into Stalkers lane. Carry on approx. 1 mile , we are located just after left bend in road , and red post box on right , turn right after Holdens farm ( our house) into Granary cottages.
