Holiday Rental House
This fantastic family home has been totally renovated to a high standard. It is a spacious three bedroom house with a large kitchen/diner, a cosy living room with log burner and a downstairs shower room. There is also a utility room that has a side entrance - perfect for sandy feet or muddy paws. Upstairs is a large double bedroom with king size bed and fantastic views, a twin bedroom, a bunk bed room and family bathroom. New for 2017 - super fast broadband! The garden is terraced and has stunning views looking out across Findochty harbour and out to sea. The dolphins are frequent visitors to this area of coastline and are regularly seen - always keep an eye out! The house makes an excellent base for exploring the area - there is plenty to do from golf, castles, whisky distilleries, wildlife watching, or just simply chilling out and building sandcastles! Findochty (locally pronounced Finechty) oozes character. Wander around the higgly piggledy narrow streets with the many multi-coloured houses to appreciate the real charm of this traditional Scottish village. We love Findochty, we think you will too.More

About the neighbourhood
Findochty is a picturesque fishing village dating back to as early as the 1400's. It used to be a busy fishing port, but the harbour is now home to leisure boats and used for pleasure. The village has an excellent pub serving meals, a convenience store, chemist and post office. The nearby villages of Portknockie and Cullen are well worth a visit; Portknockie for its rugged coastline and stunning Bow Fiddle Rock and Cullen for its superb beach, unique shops and ice cream - people come from miles around for a Cullen ice cream! Buckie is the nearest town, with all the usual amenities - super markets, petrol station etc. There is also a working harbour.
How to get there
Findochty is located between Aberdeen and Inverness airports, making it easily accessible from around the world. The nearest train station is Keith or Elgin, both approximately 20 miles away. Buses run between Aberdeen and Inverness but for convenience the use of a car is advised.
