The Bard is a traditional pine-paneled stone cottage. The two bedrooms and the main bathroom are upstairs. The kitchen, dining room, sitting room, utility/shower room and entrance hall are all on the ground floor.

It is not flashy, but it is cosy, and it makes a great base for exploring the local countryside. Walks along the River Carron; Golf at Brora, Golspie, Dornoch, Bonar Bridge, and Tain; Fishing on local lochs; Beaches at Golspie, Dornoch and Portmahomack.
