We love to bring our guests to all the great snorkling spots, show you how to fish or paddle board. We have numerous hammoks and will set up „hammock city“ on a deserted island for you so you can relax in the shade under a palm tree swinging in the breeze. In the evening time, we can have drinks around a bonfire on the beach or even cook freshly caught fish on the fire. THE KUNA EXPERIENCE Most of the islands are uninhabited, some are populated with typical Kuna huts. You can watch the Kuna sailing / paddling between the islands in their dug out canoes called „ulus“. Joana has been in the area for five years and has strong bonds with the local community. We can introduce you to some Kuna friends, visit their islands and experience their daily life. You can book an optional jungle hike with a local Kuna, learning about their culture finishing with a refreshing bath under a waterfall. More

Sailing with Cathy and Maria on Jojo is one of my all time favorite activities! First of all they are the perfect mix of game-for-anything, laid-back, impressively competent-Mariners who have fun senses of humor and are gracious hosts. Jojo is a very comfortable Ketch where...More

What a wonderful experience on Joanna! I was lucky to spend five days aboard this sailboat. We spent the time island hopping while spending time exploring the island's sandy beaches, snorkeling the reefs, paddle boarding, and even a beach fire BBQ. Accommodations were comfortable. Plenty...More

How to get there
HOW TO GET TO THE BOAT From Panama City you take a 4x4 Jeep ride of 2.5h that brings you to Carti in San Blas (around 30$). From there you take a 30-40 min water taxi ride (around 30$) to the island Salardup, where SV JOANA is waiting for you. Upon entering the terretory of San Blas, you have to pay an entrance fee to the area of 20$ per person. Since the car pick up in Panama City is between 6-8am in the morning, we advise to arrive in Panama City the night before. Transportation to and from the boat in Salardup is not included in the price. We know many reliable drivers in the area and are happy to organize the transportation from Panama City for you.
