The apartment is situated on the 5th floor of the lantern designed building, accessed via a lift, it stands out at the furthest point into the sea along the New Forest side of the Solent coastline accessed within the outline of Hythe Village. Panoramic views of passing small and medium pleasure craft sailing and powerboats can be seen along with as many as 5 cruise ships at once in dock on busy days, (QM2, Britannia, Queen Victoria & Queen Elizabeth amongst a few). Red Funnel ferries and red jet pass by frequently, Hythe ferry, Pier and Hythe Marina activities. You can wake daily to the sound of the sea and be occupied full time with the views from the large patio and picture windows which open onto the large balcony. Views stretch up to Dibden bay, across to Southampton Port and down towards the Isle of Wight. A car to venture into the New Forest would be handy but not essential as there are bus services, the Hythe Ferry is a 10 minute walk from the Apt and links you to Southampton within 15 minutes from embarking on the Hythe Ferry Train (oldest working pier train in the country), when at Town Quay you can catch the ferry/redjet to the Isle of Wight or walk into Southampton straight up the High Street or catch a linking bus for £1, this network goes via Southampton Train Station, which links you to Southampton Parkway Airport, London 1.15 Mins or The New Forest, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Winchester.... Southampton Boatshow is situated annually in September at Town Quay next door within Mayflower Park. Quite often you will see fireworks when cruise ships leave and on other celebratory times of year and during special launches. Come rain or shine there is so much to do, shops, restaurants, Marina, New Forest, Mayflower theatre, events etc., or simply chill and watch the boating activities from the Apt balcony or from the comfort of the settee. A well appointed Apt with many views from different aspects, clean, warm and inviting situated in a fab location within a friendly welcoming community. More

Apartment has amazing views, but unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations...the living area is overtaken by a huge sofa, which would have to be the most uncomfortable seat ever..also the unnecessary over large dining table..guests have been complaining of the above in the visitors book for many...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our week watching shipping movements on Southampton Water. Visited Southampton and the New Forest when we could tear ourselves away from the views. Apartment was everything we hoped for and was exactly as described
