The cottage was lovely, really well equipped with everything you'd need. Unfortunately our weather was very wet but we were quite content to sit in the cottage watching telly and relaxing. Jim and Andy were very helpful with any queries I had. I would recommend...More

The location here is so peaceful and tranquale, the cottage was spaceious clean and in a lovely location overlooking a lake. There were numerous restaurants nearby which were good and reasonable. have recommended cottage to friends and family and will definently be coming back again....More

The property is centrally heated and has a lounge with an open fire, flatscreen TV with Freeview channels, digital video recorder, DVD player and CD player. It leads directly into the dining room which has a large table with 6 chairs. The adjoining kitchen is attractively designed and equipped with all modern conveniences. There is also a separate utility room that includes a washer/drier and ironing facilities. The master bedroom has a double bed, flat screen TV, and ensuite bathroom, including wc, wash hand basin and electric shower. Patio doors open on to the front garden area. The second bedroom has a double bed, while the third has a set of bunk beds, along with a small TV and DVD player. A baby cot and high chair are also available. The main bathroom is provided with a bath, wc and wash hand basin. Patio furniture and BBQ facilities are also available. A small collection of books, games and DVDs are available for guests' use. Guests may also make use of our free Wi-Fi internet connection.

About the neighbourhood
The village of Kesh, only 10 minutes' drive, has a good range of shops, with a few pubs and restaurants, including 'Take Aways'. Lusty Beg Island is also close by (approximately 3 miles), and has a free ferry to take you across to the bar and restaurant and other facilities on the island. Castle Archdale country park offers horse riding, great walks and a war time museum, while in the nearby town of Irvinestown there is a ten pin bowling alley. Fishing opportunities and boat hire are available from many local establishments.
How to get there
Portinode is located less than 3 miles (5 km) to the north west of the village of Kesh, on the tranquil shores of Lower Lough Erne. It is approximately 95 miles (150 km) from Belfast and about 100 miles (160 km) from Dublin. Both cities are well served by affordable flights from the UK and beyond through companies such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Aerlingus, British Airways, FLYBE and BMI. Car hire is available from Belfast City (George Best) Airport, Belfast International Airport and Dublin Airport. Portinode can be reached within two and a half hours' drive from either city.
