Interaction with guests: 
You will enjoy complete privacy during your stay as you have the entire bungalow and huge garden all for yourself. There is no security guard on the property, it is a friendly little village and all the neighbors and community know about this guest house. If you need any help, the care-taker, driver and house-keeping lady are close-by. Our house-keeping lady Ms. Dulmini runs the little grocery shop next to the Swiss villa and speaks very well English.

Lovely, quiet and remote

The bungalow is in a very remote and quiet location, far away from any tourism in a long-winding fisher village. The beach is, despite a few fisher men, very empty and quiet. The kitchen is superbly equipped and the hosts were very lovely.

About the neighbourhood
The bungalow is very remote, we suggest you do your initial grocery shopping at any of the supermarkets when passing through Chilaw. You are in a peaceful fisher village, there are small shops along the road and also small vehicles selling bread and snacks in the mornings and evenings, just stop them when you hear their melody playing. Enjoy the beach walks during sunset.
Getting around
We have bicycles or you can call for a tuk-tuk, if you want to go to Madurankuli market to buy fresh vegetables, fruits and fish/chicken. There is a bottle store 5 mins drive down the beach road to buy cold beer as well. If you plan for excursions, we advise you to keep a driver for your entire stay, we can help and arrange a driver to take you to all attractions within a 2 hours radius or drop you at your next destination.
