This makes it an ideal base for walkers, close to the Cleveland Way, and Mount Grace Priory. Short drives away are, York and Whitby. The quiet rural setting and fresh air, together with the cosy warmth of Church Cottage make it the perfect base for walkers, nature lovers, and for anyone looking to relax from a busy life. The small friendly Horseshoe Inn pub, a mere 500yds away. Guests have exclusive use of the cottage. Ground floor consists of a cosy sitting room, with multi fuel fire the perfect place to relax after a walk, read a little, or plan your next trip using the many maps and guide books to hand. Second bedroom (rear facing) with a single bed and Small bathroom with shower. The rear garden over looks the church yard of St Oswalds Church. The oldest part of which dates back to about 1150, but it was completely rebuilt in the 'Norman style' around 1860. There are very few house rules, the main ones are strictly NO SMOKING or VAPING inside the property, and that you enjoy your stay and respect the property.
