ROSE COTTAGE (for larger groups book also with FERN COTTAGE - Property Number 66658) is a lovely two storey cottage with open fire in the kitchen / living room area. Located on a farm and in a courtyard setting - it is one of three holiday cottages on site. The cottage has three bedrooms, one bedroom with ensuite downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs as well as family bathroom. On site there is a large play room & enclosed garden. The cottages are situated on a 'working farm'. Guests are kindly asked to take note of areas which are accessible and which are not accessible to them - this is for their personal safety and own enjoyment. Rose Cottage
Fantastic venue to stay, so accommodating to our family. Cottages were stunning. Would highly recommend Mill Farm Cottages to any families or for group events.

Idyllic retreat location.
Great property, clean and well resources for basic needs,
Location was suitable for exploring the county of Wexford. Austiin and Catherine were friendly and helpful with signposting us to local attractions and places to eat.

Great Accomodation, great holiday
We stayed in Rose Cottage, Foulksmills for the first time this year : 2 adults & 3 kids ranging from 8-13. The cottage was perfect & couldn't fault it in any way apart from no phone signal for the network we used but that wasn't a big issue. The kids loved the location, collecting eggs from the hens, playing in the play area plus the kids from an adjacent cottage. Both the landlady & landlord made us feel welcome from the outset & were extremely accomodating. The village allowed us to explore the area in many directions. My personal favourite was a memorable day spent on the Waterford Greenway which was a delight from start to finish. Again the kids loved the 23 Km cycle we did at a very leisurely pace.

About the neighbourhood
ROSE COTTAGE - one of three lovely cottages at Mill Farm Cottages, is located to the rear of the old Cornmill and in the small country village of (Foulksmills); a florists/gift shop, local fast food/takeaway, hardware store, garage for repairs and White's Pub make up the village .The village park opposite the Mill is a beautiful spot to relax. Wellingtonbridge has a supermarket, cash machine, chemist, fuel station, restaurant, 'take away', café, playground and garden centre. Major tourist attractions: Hook Lighthouse, Tintern Abbey and Gardens, John F Kennedy Homestead & Dunbrody Ship; Main towns Enniscorthy, New Ross & Wexford are all within a 20 minute drive. Award winning restaurants are within 20 minute drive.
Getting around
A car is needed to enjoy all the wonderful sights and visit great restaurants and beaches in the surroundin area - however from the towns public transport - bus and rail provide services to major cities - Dublin, Cork, Waterford to name a few. Also many of the beautiful tourist attractions are off the beaten track, guests will need own transport to reach many of these. There are cycling routes for the more energetic - a trip to Kilmore Quay along the Norman Way will bring cyclists along the coastal route - a trip to the Saltee Chipper highly recommended - the fish n chips cannot be beaten for taste. The ferry across from Ballyhack to Passage East either by car or bike brings guests across to the County of Waterford & its many attractions.

Dublin and Cork airports are both within a two hour drive to the village of Foulksmills and Mill Farm Cottages. Rosslare Ferry Port is an hour's drive with Dublin Ferry Port a two hour drive also. Car hire is available from the airports and ferry ports - guests must arrange their own car hire. There is private parking at the cottage - maximum of two cars per cottage.
