Just home from a few days at this beautiful holiday home. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday, house well equipped, views are lovely. We had our wee dacshund with us and only downside no where enclosed for a dog as Barry's home and another holiday home on either side of where we stayed. This is not a criticism but just incase you book this amazing place and happen to have a mischievous little dog like ours be prepared to not be able to let it out of your sight. Thankyou Barry for your lovely warm welcome, hope to get back soon. Stephen, Eileen and wee Millie x

Mountain View is Tops.
If Mountain View was a football team it would definitely be in the Premier Division. Everything about this place is just top class. A beautiful house built to the highest possible standard. Clean, tidy and everything presented to the highest standard.
The key person for us was John, a really nice gentleman who was always on hand to give advice and directions where needed. His pots of flowers were given the VIP treatment every day and this was well reflected in the magnificent display of colour at the front of Mountain View. Despite his demanding role as PRO, Gardener and on site supervisor John always had lots of time to stop for a friendly chat - true Donegal friendlies at it's very best. Keep doing what you are doing John - Donegal Tourism really needs you!!!!!
Barry takes care of the bookings and when praised for the high quality of the holiday facility he is quick to acknowledge the massive contribution that his Mum makes to the running of the entire operation.
Barry's wife was on hand when we arrived and she gave us a comprehensive briefing on the layout and workings within the house.
A real family run business with maximum attention to detail, detail that makes Mountain View a truly exceptional holiday facility.
A big thankyou to the Coyle family for making our vist to Donegal a most pleasant experience.
Already looking forward to our next visit.
Most highly recommended as a holiday destination.

Great location to explore Donegal
The Fanad peninsula is well worth exploring, with beautiful unspoiled beaches , spectacular coastal views and the lighthouse was well worth a visit. This beautiful modern well equipped cottage, decorated with great care and attention to detail is ideally located , just outside the picturesque town of Ramelton for exploring beautiful Donegal. With picturesque mountain views and wood burning stove it really is an idyllic place to relax and unwind and leave worldly cares behind you. The Coyle Family were so welcoming and helpful you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay for a family holiday . very spacious living and bedroom area, power showers , plenty of parking , home from home without the stress .We will be back !

Great holiday cottage to experience Ireland
Barry was a fab host!
We had 4 kids (teenagers) with plenty of space and 2 dou le rooms upstairs each with own walk in wardrobes and e -suites there were no arguments over rooms! Lots of space downstairs and two living areas. Everything was spotless.
The local town Ramelton (20min stroll from cottage) was beautiful with river (spotted a seal) and some local cafes and essential shops (Eurospar and chippies). Letterkenny is a short drive and loads of fab beaches around the Irish coastlines.
Definitely recommend!

Mountain view
The house was spacious and spotless the only point is we brought our pet dog and there was no green area outside for him John said to let him run around in his garden next door but didn’t feel comfortable with that the sunsets were just beautiful every night

The perfect family base to explore Donegal
We stayed here with our three kids for a fortnight. It is lovely and clean, bright and airy. The kitchen was well equipped. The lounge areas were comfy with lovely mountain views. The bedrooms were also very comfortable. The setting is beautiful. Barry couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Ramelton is by far my favourite of the villages we visited in Donegal. There is a lovely buzz about the place and everyone was so friendly. The Ross art and craft studio is well worth a visit and we had many many Whoriskeys icecreams....delish! Rathmullan is close by with loads to do. We also visited Glenveagh and Ard parks, Fanad lighthouse and over to the Inishowen peninsula. Everywhere was so accessible from this lovely, homely accommodation. We were all sad to leave!

A home from home
Just had our second visit to this beautiful home outside Ramelton. Our last visit was 7 years ago and it’s still the same beautiful, warm and, peaceful home I remember. John and Barry are fantastic, friendly and relaxed hosts and when you meet them it’s like meeting old friends. Barry goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect and nothing is a problem. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. Fresh flowers in little vases are such a beautiful touch, and the provision of cotton buds and balls were so handy. It’s the little things that make such a difference!! Covid sanitiser is provided. Both John and Barry are great for information and advice on where to go while on holiday and there is plenty of information available on a table in the hall. The location itself is so peaceful and tranquil. We had wonderful sleeps in this beautiful house. Fires were ready to light, if required, and there is excellent internet WiFi connection and Netflix is available on a huge HD TV. All mod cons are available in the kitchen and it’s well stocked with kitchenware and cutlery. The views in the area are beautiful and there is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary within a short walk. John is so interesting and will give you such a detailed history of life in the area when he was a chap and he is a delight to engage in conversation with. I love Donegal and this is the perfect base to travel the length and breath of the county. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now. It’s my home from home. Stay once and your heart will stay forever.

Ramelton is located 7 miles north of Letterkenny at the mouth of the River Leannan, famed for it's superb salmon fishing.
The Old Meeting House where the County Genealogical Centre is located is one of the oldest Presbyterian churches in Ireland. With over 4 million people owing their ancestry to Donegal, the Genealogical Centre is a must for those trying to trace their elusive ancestors. Killydonnell Abbey, founded by the O'Donnells in the 16th century, is a few miles from the village.
The village also has a lively music scene centred on the Bridge Bar - a great place to spend an evening.
Proximity to Letterkenny, Donegal's main town, makes Ramelton an ideal spot for exploring the natural beauties of the county while still being close to theatre, cinemas, swimming pool, shopping etc.
