This four person apartment is located in a big chalet in Montriond, a tipical French village next to Morzine, in the great area of Portes du Soleil and it is just 1 hour and 15 minutes from Geneva Airport.

Portes du Soleil is well known for its amazing skiing slopes (650 km!) and the fact that you can ski in France and Switzerland. Also the summer is very popular among downhill mountain bikers, cyclist, hikers and the Tour de France. They all enjoy the great nature of this special part of the Alpes.
There is also a lake `Lac de Montriond`, swiming pool and rafting possibilties.

The apartment has two bedrooms with two single person beds which can be put together. There is a small living area with a kitchen and dining table. The kitchen has al the basics; cutlery, two cooking rings, plates, pans and a fridge.

Peter was a great host and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was very clean and warm which is good, however location is at bottom of hill about 800m from the free shuttle and nearest ski shop so plan ahead.

Peter provided us with a lift to and from Morzine at night for a reasonable 20 euros return in his little Fiat 500 pocket rocket. The only thing I would say Peter is get a roof rack for ski's :)

If I had to be super critical some gratis coffee and tea would have been a nice touch as the apartment is 800m from the local shops.

Accommodation wise very good value for money and I would definitely come back, however the Ski 200 shop in Montriond should be avoided. The rudest staff I have come across and totally inflexible. If you need ski's get them at the bottom of the Ardent bubble and not from the ski 200 shop there.

Bar wise you have to visit the Marmote Arms in Montriond. Fab place great hosts and pies
