The Mowhay was a traditional agricultural building that has been sympathetically converted into a superb three bedroom holiday home. The accommodation benefits from a sizeable open plan kitchen/living space with dining table and sofas, and French windows opening onto an enclosed garden with grassed and patio areas which has views across rolling countryside. Guests can also unwind and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of a six-seater hot tub which is positioned in a secluded corner of the rear patio. There are three good sized bedrooms, the master having a 6ft super king double bed and ensuite shower room. The Mowhay is an environmentally friendly place to stay with solar thermal panels providing hot water, a ground source heat pump for heating, and LED or energy saving light fittings wherever possible. There is also a cosy wood burning stove to keep things really warm on cooler evenings. One of our really dog-friendly holiday cottages in Cornwall. Accommodation Ground Floor Only: The open plan living room is bright and airy with a high ceiling and exposed beams, and incorporates a fully fitted kitchen, dining area and living area with 3 large sofas and the cosy wood burning stove, and access via French windows to the rear garden and patio. A separate utility room leads to the parking area. The master bedroom has a 6' super king size bed, and an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. There is a further double bedroom with a 6' super king size bed, which can be made up as 2 single beds on request. There is a further twin bedroom and a family bathroom with an over-bath shower. Exterior: The private garden is enclosed, with both grassed and patio areas with rolling rural views, an external dining table and chairs and BBQ facilities. A six-seater hot tub is located on the patio, enabling guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside in all seasons. Facilities & Services There is underfloor heating throughout, heated towel rails in both bathrooms and a wood burning stove (with an initial supply of wood provided in winter). The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, electric hob, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. The utility area contains a washer/dryer and a second fridge. In the living area, there is a flat screen digital TV and a DVD player. WiFi is available at the property. There is an iron and ironing board. A highchair and travel cot are provided (please bring bedding for the travel cot). Accessibility information: There are no internal steps in the cottage and small raised thresholds at the front and patio doors. The garden and patio are at the same level as the accommodation and can be accessed from inside the cottage. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen (apart from travel cot bedding) and towels are all included. Guests are to provide their own beach towels. A hairdryer is not provided. There is off road parking for up to 3 vehicles. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs will be permitted at a small additional cost of £25 per dog/per week (please bring towels for dogs and do not allow them on furniture). Regrettably, no smoking is allowed. General Booking Information Arrival / Departure is normally Friday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required. Due to the need to empty and thoroughly clean the hot tub between bookings, guests should be aware that the hot tub may not be fully up to temperature on the day of arrival, and will not be available for use on the day of departure.
