Dear Guest! Only 45-minutes by car from Estonian capital Tallinn. Sandy beach is just 250 m walking distance. Beach is quite private, many people won't go there. In the evenings you can admire the beautiful sunsets on the empty beach, rarely meet any walker. Near the house you can lay on the grass and enjoy birds singing and pick berries and mushrooms. We are located in Suurpea village which is on the territory of the Lahemaa National Park. Our holiday home is located on the northern peninsula of Estonia, named Pärispea. You can enjoy your morning coffee on the terrace in peace and quiet, listening to the sounds of nature. Even on a rainy day you can dine on the balcony listening to the rain on the roof, watching the eaves dripping water and breathing the cleanest air and admire the fragrant forest, rain - washed colors of nature. Or you could wake up very early and drive about 10 minutes to Viru bog, climb to the tower and enjoy wonderful sunrise on clear or shadow morning. You can spend days in garden hammock reading or meditating or just doing nothing. Take a bike and go explore the surroundings. In 30 minute drive radius is located beautiful fishing villages, manors, museums or churches. Estonian mainland northernmost point of Cape Purekkari is located 9 km from our cottage. You are welcome to our holiday home for 4 (+2) guests. The house has 3 bedrooms with a shelter terrace, free WiFi, fireplace, books, journals and board games for rainy days. Next to the house we have a kids playground. The holiday home is equipped with kitchen supplies, so our guests can prepare their own meals. There is also a living room with a cozy fireplace, shower with hairdryer and towels, toilet. Please notice! There is a hostess dog next to the guesthouse. Sometimes the dog barks like dogs do! We have great drinking water. There is no washing machine in the house. WiFi is sometimes slow but mostly works well together. As the houses are located in the seaside forest you can meet insects, flies and mosquitoes.More

About the neighbourhood
Dear Guest! The neighboring village of Viinistu (11km) you will find a restaurant and Art Gallery with very good exposition of Estonian art. If interested you can arrange a journey to the island of Mohni (4,5km) There are 4 marked hiking trails and 2 bird watching towers on peninsula. It is also possible to see rare orchids. There are 2 bogs nearby and huge boulders everywhere. Near us are lots of places for military enthusiasts, a former Hara harbor and submarines demagnetizing base. Loksa town stores, drugstore, ATMs and other necessities is 3 km away from our house. Access roads are in good condition both by car and bus to enter. Around our peninsula there are EuroVelo bicycle paths 1 and 4.
Getting around
You can get around by bikes, bus, car or on foot. Kärka guesthouses are located in Lahemaa National Park, the northernmost part of Estonia - on the Pärispea Peninsula at Lahemaa National Park. The best means of transport to explore the peninsula is by bicycle and car. The distance to drive around the peninsula is 22 km. In the meantime, you can take a bike stop just halfway through the trip - the Viinistu Restaurant and Art Gallery are 11 km from the Kärka Houses. It is better to explore the surrounding area by car.
