About the neighbourhood
The city of Bath dates back to Roman times, Romans drawn to the site to relax by Britian's only Hot Springs and their reputed healing powers. Most of the buildings in present day Bath are constructed from a luscious honey-coloured stone, constructed largely during the Georgian era. It was the ideal retreat from London life, ideal to relax and 'take the waters'. Modern Bath is at the forefront of art and culture with many exhibitions, concerts and performances throughout the year. It is also known for tourism and shopping. Attractions include the Royal Crescent and Bath Abbey.
Getting around
Excellent transport links into the City with bus stop just a short distance from the gate, regular services all day. Boat trips from the nearby village of Bathampton all the way into Bath. Cycle paths along the canal or excellent walking into the centre.
