Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Super Ferienhaus

Fabulous spacious & quirky house in great location
Our family had a great holiday in 1 Castleview. Location is excellent, so close to Liscannor village for pubs, restaurants & walks to pier. Clahane rocks for swim is just a few minutes away and only a short drive to Lahinch beach. House has everything needed for a stress free holiday including safe outdoor space for kids. Really enjoyed our stay & will be back!

Fab house & location, perfect for family holiday
Just back from 1 Castleview with our 3 kids aged 8, 6 & 3. We loved the house, it had everything you could need from tea towels and washing up liquid, towels, washer & dryer, handsoap, tea, sugar, spices etc. Better kitted out than most Irish holiday homes. The kids loved it too, so bright and airy, with so many places to sit and relax/play. The garden was great. If you had a wobbler/toddler the step in the living area and the edge of the stairs may be a challenge but it was perfect for our family. We loved our days out at the Cliffs, Aillwee Caves, the Moher Pet Farm, swimming and playing in rock pools at Clahane, Poulnabrone Dolmen, Doolin rocks/pier & the banoffi at The Cottage, the shops in Lahinch and Ennistymon, the beaches at Lahinch and Spanish Point, Lahinch playground, fishing at Liscannor Pier and eating outside at the local hotel & Vaughans (a 5 min easy walk). Lovely outdoor dining area at Ooh La La creperie in Ennistymon. For any runners, it's a 5km run from the house to Clahane and back on a lovely loop route with few cars passing early in the day. Friendly artist in the Gallery at the bottom of the road. It was really a lovely relaxing trip and the vibe of the house just made it all the better.

A slice of heaven
My family & I have rented this wonderful house on four occasions over the last number of years .....twice during the summer & twice for the Christmas period. It’s a wonderful home away from home & works equally well no matter the season. Bright & airy during the summer....doors sliding open to the lovely deck and garden, ideal for barbecuing and get togethers. Snug & warm in colder times with a lovely fire. The sun room offers the ideal space for dining, the kitchen a gourmets delight...all the equipment you need & a fully stocked pantry press . The house is always spotless on arrival with plenty of additional blankets & bed linen with the brilliant addition of a separate laundry room...perfect for washing your beach towels or drying your clothes post Atlantic storm walk. As mentioned Freda, the owner, provides an excellent service from initial enquiry to any local back up required, along with a very well curated file on local attractions, restaurants & necessary services. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning over & over

My Dream Holiday Home
Liscannor is the perfect location for a holiday in lovely Clare. It boasts a quaint working fishing harbour a village with restaurants, a hotel and a few pubs and the house is within a five minutes walk from all of the above. I loved the house the minute I walked in. It is a very spacious house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms and a delightful sun room that envelops the back and the side of the house leading on to a garden and a deck area. Lovley views from every angle and the house is so well equipped we wanted for nothing. Freda gave us three phone numbers in case we needed any help. Ours was a family holiday there was six of us we had a great time and we will definitely be back to 1, Castle View it would be hard to beat the standard on all counts.

Stunning holiday house
We are just back from a 2 night stay in this beautiful house and my only regret is we could not stay longer as it was just perfect - as others mentioned, a home from home, Beautifully decorated and just a joy to spend time in. Kitchen very well equipped and the living and dining areas are bright, colourful and cosy. Bedrooms are comfortable, bright and clean - kids loved them as did we. The house is in a super location, 5 mins walk from the village to the lovely pubs which serve gorgeous food. The house is in a great location for touring County Clare, minutes away from the majestic Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch beach & village, We caught a boat out to the Aran islands from Doolin and wow, what an experience that was for us all. Also managed a trip to Corofin & Kilfenora to see the Burren and of course, Fr Teds house! Would return in a heartbeat and will be recommending this house to all our friends. Thank you Freda for a wonderful stay in your house in Liscannor.

Relaxing
I stayed here for a week at the end of May, and I could not fault it. The glass conservatory turns, what would have been a slightly cramped space, into a light airy atmospheric experience. Sliding doors open out onto a lawn with seating areas strategically placed to give shelter from the inevitable shore breeze. Attached to the living area is the well equipped kitchen with all the necessary equipment, including a dishwasher. The main double ensuite bedroom with shower, is on the ground floor, large windows over looking the garden. Upstairs are two twin rooms, both ensuite. Handily placed next to the front door is the laundry room, containing a washer and separate condensing dryer with ample drying space for wet coats and boots, . Despite the weather being a bit damp when I visited, the light and airy surroundings provided an excellent space for relaxing. I will definitely be back, probably during the autumn months, when I hope to make the most of the open fire.
