Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A great campsite
We had a great time here, Sean was very friendly and accommodating. A great site in close proximity to Lough Derg, and Portumna is just 10 minutes away, where we got to see white tailed eagles. Would definitely recommed.

Highly recommended Accommodation - Great location, clean and warm !!!
This was our first stay and it was clean, really warm and cosy with a friendly welcome from Sean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay with loads of room. It is well located near Terryglass, Portumna and less than 50 minutes from Limerick city. We also did not expect the home comforts of fresh brown bread, jam and milk. Thanks Sean !!! I would highly recommend this location. 5 stars - no hotel can match what is on offer...

The warmest welcome in Ireland
My mother and I travelled to Ballinderry for her to complete family research. I really wanted her to be able to stay in the same town that her Great-Grandmother had lived in which is why we chose Stonepark Lodge. I mentioned the purpose of our visit to Sean, the owner, and he arranged the best possible visit beyond anything we could have imagined. We were connected with the local genealogy experts who invested time into making our trip fruitful, educational and oh-so-interesting! They even toured us around the region to show us where our ancestors had lived and worked, even where they would have embarked on their adventure to Australia. Stonepark Lodge is a very comfortable lodging option with two well-sized bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. We were able to prepare our meals in the well-appointed kitchen and had plenty of space to relax at the end of our day. The couch was extra comfy and it was a bonus to be able to watch Netflix on the TV. The beds and linens were so extremely comfortable that it was difficult to get out of bed in the morning! The heating system is efficient and easy to adjust according to comfort. Ballindery is a gorgeous little town filled with Irish charm and history. It is the perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Nearby Terryglass offers first class pub meals in the traditional surrounds. Lough Derg is just minutes away for watersports and swimming opportunities in the summer. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely accommodation option.

Definitely reccomend
We stayed here for a family wedding that was being held close by and we were very happy with the place. Sean was so welcoming, he went above and beyond, going as far as to lend some of his own ties to one of us who had forgotten his! He even had fresh scones and jam waiting for us when we got there! The place was done up beautifully, it had everything we needed and more, I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing & well worth the visit.
Our family recently stayed at this wonderful property which is within a lovely small well maintained Caravan Park in the village of Ballinderry in North Tipperary. This property is ideally located for the beautiful Lough Derg villages of Terryglass, Garrykennedy and Dromineer. The newly built lodge is fully equipped to a high standard and our host Sean was very welcoming and full of local knowledge of things to do in the area. The fresh scones upon arrival was also a lovely touch by the owner. Our only regret was that we did not book a longer stay than our 3 nights but we will most definitely return to this property in the near future.
