Thank you for taking the time to review the Chalet. It is appreciated.
I did not want to write a review as I cannot be positive about our stay in the Chalet. However, I have received multiple emails from Trip Advisor requesting a review. In addition, in a competitive rental market with Airbnb properties, I feel that for...More

I am so sorry to learn of your experience. Thank you for your feedback. Another guest reported the shower room fan wasn't working and I discovered that the shower isolator switch had been switched off. This may have been the cause of the damp smell....More

Two weeks we stayed in Argyll and found a home in Kilmartin in Janet's Jardine chalet. We found in Argyll what we wanted to see and do and we found in the chalet all wee needed.

Thank you for reviewing the chalet and feedback about basics.
Come and explore the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, Scotland - complete with castles and local museum 250m from your chalet. The Crinan Canal, Tayvallich, Craobh Haven and Ardfern are popular with those who love yachting and cruises to the famous Corryvrechan depart from a number of locations. Kilmartin is perfect for walkers, cyclists, archaeologists, geologists, and natural historians; the Knapdale Beavers are only 10km away. Eagles, Sea Eagles, brown hares, deer, and many other surprises can be found in this area of Atlantic Oakwoods. Meals are available at the local pub a short walk from the chalet. Local buses stop in Kilmartin: bus numbers 423, 923 run between Ardrishaig-Lochgilphead and Oban Monday to Saturday.
Getting around
Visit the Hebridean islands of Islay, Gigha, Colonsay, Mull and Iona.
Drive to Kennacraig and take the ferry to the island of Islay famous for its whisky or drive to Tayinloan and take a short ferry crossing to the island of Gigha with its gardens. Colonsay has been described as Scotland in miniature. Colonsay ferries run from Oban some days and Kennacraig on others. Ferries to Mull operate from Oban.
If you wish to visit Iona, famous for its Abbey and St Columba then be sure to contact Caledonian MacBrayne early for details about Mull sailings as the car ferry is heavily booked up in July and August
