Welcome to Spindrift Cottage our lovely self catering holiday cottage on the Solway Coast, one mile from Silloth, ten minutes walk across the road and down the path through fields to the beach. Spindrift is perfect for a relaxing break exploring Cumbria and the North Lake District.

The cottage is very well equipped and sleeps up to three, the main bedroom is downstairs, with a double bedroom in the attic accessible from main bedroom. We do accept one small well behaved dog. In front of the cottage there is a small enclosed garden and seating area. About the neighbourhood
Silloth is a town nestled on the shores of the Solway Firth, facing the hills of Southern Galloway and backed by the Lake District Fells. Silloth is noted for its invigorating but mild climate, its leisurely peaceful atmosphere and perhaps, most of all, its glorious sea views and sunsets fine enough to be recorded for posterity by Turner, the famous landscape artist. The town centre is made particularly attractive by thirty six acres of grassy, open space, known simply as ‘The Green’.

The area is also on the fringe of the Lake District, close to the Scottish Borders and an easy day trip to Hadrien's Wall.
Getting around
A car is recommended to get to Silloth, although the local bus to Maryport stops right outside the door. There are also connections to Carlisle from Silloth itself, where the trains run from a central station.
