About the neighbourhood
Surrounded by outstanding countryside, and located on the river Tweed, Innerleithen caters exceptionally well for holiday-makers. On Cosaig's doorstep you will find not only a selection of interesting shops, friendly pubs and small restaurants, but also tourist attractions such as Traquair House, the National Trust's Robert Smail's Printing Works and St. Ronan's Wells. For the more active there is a multitude of lovely local walks and bike rides. Indeed Innerleithen is famous for it's downhill track which is one of the 7stanes mountain bike trails. Very nearly complete is a new all-purpose path which will link Innerleithen, Cardrona and Peebles, and which will take you to Glentress, another huge draw for mountain bikers. Glentress is also the home of a new Go-Ape tree top adventure cours...
Getting around
Many of our guests choose not to touch their cars during their stay and simply to enjoy the plentiful walks from the doorstep. Local towns such as Peebles, Melrose, and Galashiels can easily be accessed by bus and buses to Edinburgh run half hourly. You can also travel to the nearest railway station (20 minutes drive away) and travel into the city on the beautiful Waverley line.
