Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Such a lovely cottage and can only reitterate all the other reviews....so comfortable and well equiped. Garden is fully enclosed so no worry about our little dog getting out. Cosy lounge with open fire which was very relaxing after a day out walking. Good walks of varying lengths just from the door so no need to even get in the car if you dont want to and if anyone does happen to find a little black soft glove on the way around any of them....its mine! Would definately recommend and hopefully we will return as it was a great base for the area.

My wife and I have stayed here many times and have always enjoyed it very much. The cottage is in a great location for exploring the delights of Snowdonia and comes with all the conveniences required. The owners could not be more helpful if you need advice but also will not bother you if you are simply looking to 'retreat from it all'.

We chose this cottage for its location, and it didn’t disappoint. On a quiet road, sheep out the back and lovely views from the garden. Also 2 local pubs in walking distance, a shop and cafe. Highly recommend a visit to the Riverside Chocolate House - best lemon drizzle cake ever! Fabulous walks from your doorstep around Pentrefoelas or a short trip in the car to Betwysycoed. The cottage itself is very spacious for a family and smelled lovely on arrival. The little sunroom added on the back is a real bonus as the downstairs can otherwise be quite dark. Upstairs is lovely and bright and tastefully decorated. The bathroom must have been recently done and the spa bath is a great addition. It was used most nights by our children for bubble baths. The only bit that lets this cottage down is the kitchen, which is probably due a refurbishment, but is reflected in the price you pay. That said, it is fully stocked with everything you could need and plenty of crockery and cutlery so that the dishwasher only needs to be put on when full rather than if you’ve run out of items. Great to have a dishwasher and washing machine with drying rack provided. The garden is fully enclosed, safe for a dog and a real sun trap. Patio table and chairs provided but only seat 3 people so had to bring dining room chairs outside. It is also rather wobbly and needs repairing or replacing. Would be good to have a larger table and 4/5 chairs so that we could eat outside. So other than a couple of improvements that could be made, the cottage was perfect for our family of 4 plus dog and we would definitely return.

We only had three nights stay & on arrival wished we had longer! Walking into the house was just a delight, so clean , cosy and beautifully decorated. Also a very nice bottle of red wine left for us . We loved the garden and spent alot of time in it , as we were totally blessed with some great weather. Reg , the owner is so helpful & very friendly , he actually couldnt do enough for us as this was so last minute. I have no hesitation in reccomending this beautiful holiday home and would love to book again next year . I also loved the spa bath , what a treat that was and totally unexpected . A very pleasant time had by all . Thankyou Reg

Lovely cottage in the snowdonia national park, set on a quiet road with a private enclosed garden suitable for a dog. 10 minute walk to local shop and Riverside chocolate House with a small playground and dog friendly field nearby, 10 minute walk in the opp direction is the local pub. 15 minute drive to Betws-y-coed ..shops and walks, go below caving was great fun, tourist information, swallow falls etc. Great location for an active family. Reg is a fantastic host, easy to contact and very helpful.

We spent a week staying at Dalar Deg at the end of July. As a family of 5, we found the cottage perfect for our needs and a wonderful location from which to explore all that Snowdonia has to offer. The owner, Reg, was extremely helpful. The cottage was very clean and tidy and stocked with some provisions and even a bottle of wine for us when we arrived. There are some nice views of the mountains of Snowdonia from the garden and it is just a short and very pleasant walk to either of the local villages. We certainly hope to be back at some stage in the future.

Dalar Deg (which poetically translates as 'the sweet spot between the rivers') is a charming two story farmhouse with everything you need to feel cozy. Clean fresh linen, an open fireplace and a wood stove as well, a lounge with DVDs, a fully stocked kitchen, and sheep baaaing out every door. The photos don't do justice to how welcoming Reg is, nor how lovely the surrounding countryside was. We were together for a family driving holiday - and even though the weather was horrible, the holiday was wonderful.
