The Granary is an immaculately refurbished cottage set in the secure courtyard of Dovehouse Farm, which is a Grade II listed estate dating back to the 14th century, located in wonderful countryside just outside the village of Shustoke in North Warwickshire. Shustoke is an ancient village in Warwickshire, recorded in The Great Survey of 1086 (Domesday Book) as “Scotescote.” The parish registers are some of the earliest in the country, dating from the reign of Henry VIII, and include entries in the handwriting of Sir William Dugdale, who was born on Shawbury Lane and is widely regarded as the country’s first and greatest antiquarian. From M6, leave at junction 4… From the motorway junction roundabout, take the A446 (Stonebridge Road) towards Coleshill. Stay on the A446 until it crosses the B4114 at a roundabout just outside Coleshill. Take the third exit at this roundabout, heading into Coleshill on the B4114 “Birmingham Road”. Continue straight on at the crossroads in Coleshill, where you will see a pub on the right as you approach, and where the B4114 then becomes “Blyth Road.” Continue on the B4114, and you will come past Shustoke reservoir signed on your left as you come into Shustoke.
