Welcome to Franks' Cottage, Carracastle! Bienvenue dans cette belle maison! Bienvenido a la casa de campo para sus proximas vacaciones! We are just on the border of Co.Mayo and Co.Roscommon. This lovely country cottage is located in a beautiful rural area surrounded by farms and animals. I have two donkeys- Chip and Sugar that will be in the field across from the cottage, welcoming you. They are very friendly and love carrots :) You will have a very large, open garden to yourself with a private area in the back with an outside table and chairs. The two bedrooms can sleep up to 5 people and cot/toddler bed and highchair are available upon request. It is ideally located just 10 miles from Knock Airport, in County Mayo. Franks Cottage is within an easy drive of numerous area attractions such as Arigna Mines Lough Key Forest Park Carrick on Shannon Moon River Boat Knock Shrine Croagh Patrick Westport House and Adventure Park Castlebar Irish Country Life Museum Kiltimagh Pet Farm Foxford Woolen Mills Eagles Flying Enniscrone Beach Strandhill Beach ( both of these beaches are blue flag beaches which mean pollution free shores and water, safe access, sanitary facilities, lifeguards on duty and wheelchair access ) Voya Seaweed Baths Galway If you like to fish there is the near by Lung River (Ballaghaderreen) and the Moy River (Ballina) . If you are a fan of hiking, Croagh Patrick and The Western green-way walking and cycling trail is the perfect option for you.More

Nice cottage in the country

Lovely little cottage in the middle of the country. Have everything we needed in the house. The host met us on first day and made sure we have everything we needed. My girls loved greeting the donkeys across the house. Highly recommended and would book...More

Lovely cottage

Spent a lovely weekend in Franks Cottage. Facilities were excellent and the cottage was spacious & cosy. Plenty of room outside to relax in the garden. Lots of fun things to do close by. Would highly recommend!
