We have created a spacious (80m2) self-contained flat on the first floor of our large family home. It is fully equipped for self-catering and will comfortably sleep 4 adults, with a fifth on a sofa bed.There is parking in the grounds of the house.The flat has French TV, and wifi. You have full use of the large garden to the rear of the house, with barbecue and outdoor garden furniture and games. The town has several high quality restaurants, and friendly bars; as well as some fantastic cake-shops, bakeries and wine merchants. From our flat you can: take life easy in the garden and around town; do a wide variety of sports; explore the surrounding countryside, historic villages and towns; and seaside resorts and beaches. Our stay at Le Tilleul was fabulous and great value for money. We had a wonderfully relaxing week, with lots to do in the surrounding area. The apartment itself was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. There was a TV and wifi if you need it....More

About the neighbourhood
Salies is a provincial market town (pop. about 5000). The Town Hall organises a series of events and concerts throughout the Summer, most of which are free. Salies sits amongst a series of well preserved medieaval towns (such as Navarrenx, Sauveterre and Labastide-Clairence) across the region, and into Spain. All have their fetes, so hardly a day goes by without something going on. Within Salies there is an open-air public pool, tennis, squash and golf.
Getting around
To really enjoy the region a car is necessary, though fitter visitors could do a lot by bike. Bikes are available to hire from the Tourist Office, including electric ones. The TGV stops at Dax (35km from Salies), and synchronises with a bus service into Salies. Local trains also run from Dax into Puyoo, which is a short taxi ride from Salies (8km).
