There is so much to see and do in the area depending on your requirements. Please see below for a list of just a few! - Castle Eden Walkway and Cycle Route right on the doorstep, including woodland, wildflower meadow, adventure playground, nature reserve, planetarium and observatory to be found along the route. -Hardwick Park- visit England accredited country park. - Durham - explore the many shops, cafes, restaurants or take a walk by the Riverside. A must see are the Castle and Cathedral. -Hartlepool - explore the marina, Historic Quay or head to the beach at Seaton Carew. -Beamish Museum is 30 minutes away- visit the open air museum and find out about life in the North East of England during the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s.
Getting around
A car will be required as the property is in a rural location. The nearest train stations are Hartlepool or Durham. The closest airport is Durham Tees Valley, although Newcastle Airport is not much further and offers a lot more flights.
