Very homely, traditional with modern facilities. Larger than most properties. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms provide accommodation for one or two families. Lovely location above Champoluc village. Winter and Summer location for families and explorers. Four double bedrooms plus spillover sleeping for kids under the eaves. Perfect for one or two families. All the traditional charm of a rascard with modern comforts. Open fire in the Winter and full South-facing balcony with 180 degree views of mountains and a waterfall offer the special atmosphere of this house. Garden for building snow men in the Winter and dens in the Summer. South facing balcony/terrace with table and chairs with a view over the mountains and the waterfall. What a fantastic base for walking during the summer. This traditional rascard s located just above the village meaning it has fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and is an easy walk downhill to the shops and restaurants. During the day, there's also a free...More

The accommodation was wonderful, homely and all possible needs for a great time. Close to village and for skiing. buses are good and easy walking to village and back.

The bus stop is literally just outside the front door to The Rascard so skiing couldn't have been easier. The house is extremely comfortable and warm, with an log burner and all the amenities you need for a comfortable self catering holiday. Plenty of space...More

About the neighbourhood
Once a traditional farming village, now a popular destination for Italians living in Turin and Milan at weekends, little known to the British apart from in the ski season. Small and friendly atmosphere with local meat, cheese and wine shops and a well stocked supermarket. A good selection of restaurants and bars. Excellent bookshop and tourist office. Beautiful landscape and nature. Good for sports as well as peace and tranquility all year round. Location is very sunny.
Getting around
Bus stop outside the house. 5 mins to ski lifts and centre of town. 15 mins walk down scenic path in the Summer. The property has a parking space on the opposite side of the road. This is needed in Autumn and Spring when the free bus service is not working.
