Quiet and peaceful location, away from day to day life, surrounded by the natural beauty of nature, and facing directly out over the Moray Firth, this fisherman's style cottage is ideal for a special or romantic break or just for a great family holiday. Stunning walks from the front door along the beach, cliffs, harbour or to neighbouring villages. Dolphin spotting can be done without getting up from the sofa. Ideal location for touring this beautiful corner of Scotland whether it be the Castle trail; the Whisky trail, or day trips to the many small villages along this coast....Quiet and peaceful location, away from day to day life, surrounded by the natural beauty of nature, and facing directly out over the Moray Firth, this fisherman's style cottage is ideal for a special or romantic break or just for a great family holiday. Hi Catherine B, Many thanks for the feedback of your stay in Seafront Cottage which gives a great summary of the cottage and it's unique setting. Delighted you saw the Moray Firth dolphins on three separate occasions. Brian

About the neighbourhood
Gardenstown is the largest of the three villages situated along this unique part of the Moray Firth, with Crovie and Pennan being the other two villages, both of which are more remote with limited facilities, but are ideally for visiting - you can walk along the sea front to Crovie (30 - 40 minutes). Gardenstown was founded in 1720 as a fishing village and still boasts a lovely harbour, which is mainly now used by pleasure craft and for inshore fishing; as well as a harbour-front restaurant and a hotel with pub and food; all within a few minutes walk of the cottage. There is also a petrol station with Spar shop and post office attached - all in all your basic essentials can be catered for locally and this is a fascinating historic place to use as a retreat away from it all or as a base for a Scottish holiday.
How to get there
With an increasing number of cheap airlinks to the main Scottish airports of Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, Seafront Cottage is easily accessible from anywhere in the World. Aberdeen airport is just over an hours drive from the cottage. Car hire is readily available at all airports.
