The village has associations with the Milesdians legend, meaning the earliest possible recorded history of the area dates back to around 1700 BC. Just over 10 miles away is the thriving town of Tralee, which is best known for its Rose of Tralee International Festival. The town boasts the Kerry County Museum, Tralee Town Park playground and Pat Healy Park. A lovely rural location and is ideal for exploring this unspoilt countryside area.
