White Gables is a superb family holiday home in a beautiful area of the Lake District, perfect at any time of year. Amenities: Gas central heating with woodburner in living room. Electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 x TVs with Freeview, DVD, radio/CD, WiFi, library of books & games. Gas & electric inc. in rent. Fuel for woodburner available to be purchased locally. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Cot & highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Lockable bike storage. Spacious lawned garden with furniture & BBQ. Sorry, no pets & no smoking. Shop 1 mile, pub 2 mins walk. Note: Check in time is 4pm. For bookings from the 19th Feb 19 - no stag, hen or similar bookings accepted at the cottage. For bookings made from the 19th Feb 19 the owner charges a £150 Good Housekeeping Bond. Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilaratingwatersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination. Town: The village of Great Clifton is situated five miles from the town of Cockermouth on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The area around the village is largely undiscovered and unspoilt with the Loweswater valley and mountains offering dramatic views and scenary. Cockermouth is the birthplace of William Wordsworth, with his Georgian family home now a popular visitor attraction, owned by the National Trust, plus the town offers shops, pubs and places to eat. Love this place, couldn't have asked for a better experience of the lakes will be going back again for sure. Owners were so nice and friendly made it even more worth the stay, pool table for the kids was awesome too.

Such a fantastic place to stay we had a fantastic time as a family! The house was so well equipped with everything we could have needed! We enjoyed a fantastic week and shall be returning again!!

Enjoyed a lovely girlie weekend at White Gables. House very well appointed and spacious. We enjoyed the chimnea (chopped wood provided) and sat out until 10.30 one evening with a glass or two! Pub a the end of the lane too. Cheryl and Colin were...More

This house was brilliant. Suitable for larger groups and good for those with restricted mobility. The pictures don't do it justice, and Cheryl and Colin were very welcoming. Thanks for a great holiday :)

Spent a fantastic week in this lovely house, beautifully converted to accommodate 12 people in great comfort. Owners very friendly and helpful. Ideal for large parties of all ages with great lounge, dining and kitchen space. Very close to Northern lakes and coast.
