About the neighbourhood
All around Craigellachie there are wonderful walks, the Speyside Way is directly behind the property so you can easily walk to Aberlour (2 miles) which has a wonderful deli, gallery, shops and restaurants.
There are 7 distilleries open to the public within a 6 mile radius.
Craigellachie has two tennis courts, a playground and you can buy a days fishing in Aberlour on the River Spey.
If you are more adventurous there is clay pigeon shooting, archery, off-road driving and trout fishing to name but a few of the activities.
The Craigellachie hotel & Highlander Inn are only a few minutes walk from the property. Within a 4 mile radius there are many options from haute cuisine to fish and chips, Chinese and Indian restaurants and take aways.

Airport: Aberdeen: 96.0 km
Railway: Elgin: 21.0 km
Ferry: Aberdeen: 96.0 km
Craigellachie is equidistant from Aberdeen and Inverness, both of which have airports - only an hours drive. Nearby Elgin (15 minute drive) and Keith (15 minute drive) both have train stations.
Craigellachie is also on the bus route from Elgin.
From Aberdeen take the A96 to Huntly then the A920 to Dufftown, then the A941 to Craigellachie. The house is opposite the Post Office on Victoria Street, you can park right outside the front door (easy for loading and unloading). Or you can drive down the back to use the private parking space which can fit 2 cars easily.
If you are driving from Inverness take the A9 south and turn off onto the A938 (signposted Carrbridge, Dulnain Bridge) till it joins the A95, (then follow that to Craigellachie.
