The cottage was clean and tidy. A great base for getting to St Ives, St Michaels Mount, Landsend and Newquay. The village Portreath has 3 pubs. We found the Portreath Arms the best. The food was lovely and reasonable. There is also a chinese takeaway,...More

Portreath is literally on the coast but only 5 minutes to the central A30( we call it the magic carpet!) and 12 miles to the south coast at Falmouth, very safe and relatively quiet.

About the neighbourhood
Portreath is a great holiday destination all year round, it's main feature being its beautiful sandy beach which is one of the safest in the county, being patrolled by highly qualified RNLI lifeguards throughout the season.
