Southmede Cottage in Village at the Coast.

This charming cottage, which sleeps two and is perfect for couples, and is very convenient for walking into Warkworth village.
Everything is well furnished and decorated. A bottle of chilled wine will welcome you to The Cottage.

The cottage is all on one level, with one double bedroom with king side bed, living area and small kitchen, and bathroom. The living area is open plan with one separate bedroom. The bathroom has a corner bath and separate shower enclosure.
The gas central heating the cottage is warm and cosy in cold weather.

There is a flat-screen television with Freeview and DVD player. A mini-HiFi system is also supplied for CDs and radio.
Secure parking is directly beside the cottage with a designated parking area.
Short Breaks Friday and Monday. One Well behaved dog welcome, £25 per stay, by prior arrangement only.

We enjoyed this stay very much. Location was excellent, accomodation equally so, and the hosts were very friendly. A quiet quaint little spot to enjoy ourselves.

About the neighbourhood
Warkworth - A village with a past and it’s history is very much a part of the place. Warkworth is dominated by it’s magnificent castle which is managed and looked after by English heritage. There is a buzzing village community and plenty of interest with shops, pubs, chocolate house and art galleries. The walk by the river is relaxing, watch the rowing boats, or even hire one yourself and enjoy the Hermitage, a curious dwelling carved out of the rock, you will be rowed over the river by boat if you want to visit. The village shop supplies all your daily provisions, papers and locally sourced foods.
Getting around
Amble'The Seafood Centre' is only 1 mile away, where you can shop, eat, and browse around. Alnwick the historical market town is 7 miles away. Trains can be taken from alnmouth station ( 3 miles away) to various destinations. Popular trips are south to Newcastle upon Tyne and north to Edinburgh. Newcastle airport is approx 30 miles.
