Rainbow Falls is a moderately difficult hiking trail. This trail is moderately difficult because you are walking on rocky terrain on inclines and declines. The views while hiking are spectacular! It is possible to see deer and wild turkeys. If you hike in mid-April you should find perfect temps of high 60's to low 70's. Rain showers should not deter you from making it to the falls. Plan on lots of mud if it rains. It is 2.8 miles to the falls but you can continue to the next level of 6.8 miles. Sturdy sneakers or hiking boots are a must. Plan on 3-4 hrs to get to the falls. Pack lots of water and snacks.
