The nearest airports to Keystone are located in Denver and Vail. The Denver International Airport is located 78 miles east of Keystone. All major airlines provide service to Denver; most provide nonstop service from national and international destinations. A number of major car rental companies have service desks at the terminal, including Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Alamo, National, Budget, and several others. Keystone is a straight shot off of Interstate 70 from Denver.

The Vail/Eagle County Airport is a regional airport that also serves the area. It is located 65 miles west of Keystone. Several airlines provide nonstop service to Vail from cities across the United States, including Atlanta, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, LA, Miami, Minneapolis, NYC (La Guardia), Newark, and Philadelphia. You can pick up a car from one of the car rental agencies at the airport, which include Avis, Budget, National, Alamo, Hertz, and Enterprise, among others.
If you'd prefer not to drive the roadways during the winter, plan to take one of the bus shuttles that provide service to Keystone. The Colorado Mountain Express and Summit Express provides door-to-door service from Denver International Airport to the Resort at Keystone. Powderhound Transportation provides shuttles from Denver to Keystone. The shuttles are private so you get to choose your own times, etc. Black Diamond Car Service or CME Premier is another private shuttle service that provides chauffeurred suburban or sedan service from either the Denver International Airport or Vail/Eagle County Airport.
Alpenglow Express (720) 515-4073 is a Ski Transport company that specializes in private SUV or 4WD Mercedes Sprinter transport to the mountain resorts from the Denver Airport.
If you are just 1 or 2 people and your goals is to stay in Keystone until you can do no more, then taking a shuttle is the easiest and cheapest way to get to Keystone. You will have to use the Keystone bus system if you want to get around the resort, but the bus system is very very easy to use. If your group consists of more than 3 or 4 people it will be much more economical for you to rent a car. If you are coming in the Winter, you should rent something that is either front wheel drive or better yet, all wheel drive.
